My Editor Hates Me…

Really, she does. She pretends to be all nice over the phone and stuff but really she doesn't like me at all. Which is fair enough because I never, ever, give in my blogs on time. She says nice things... but I know these types.

With Arsenal doing rubbish there is nothing to look forward to in the weekends.

It sounds like some vaccine you have to get when you're little, but it's not. It's my acronym for the Monday Morning Blues. It happens EVERY Monday, without fail.

So I'm waiting patiently to see what sort of amazing outfit that Maria Sharapova has on for this US Open.

The weekend is almost upon, but I dread the beginning of next week which will probably see the schools start and traffic chaos resume in Colombo.

The blog I mean….I wasn't referring to myself as 'IT', since I'm far from being inanimate, if slightly not objective.

Monday Morning Blues

I have a sinking feeling this morning. Not entirely sure what it is, but I’m positive last nights thumping at the hands of Chelsea has something to do with it.

I’ve hit the gym with a vengeance, and things are not looking good. Work pressures dictate that I’m up at the crack of dawn and in the gym by half past six. I’ve also managed to scratch my supposedly non-scratch watch face. I am slightly annoyed.

Weekends I Live For

This weekend had to be something spectacular, what with the wife deserting me on work and all that. And it provided just what I needed.

Now that we’ve all had a nearly a week to mull over what happened in Lahore, it’s time to start putting things in perspective.

My overwhelming emotion this morning is relief. Relief coupled with gratefulness. This was as close as one can come to shaking the hand of Death without actually meeting him.

Right! Now I'm officially sick to death of this...

Driving Easy on a Monday

The drive to work was stunning. Got here in twenty minutes flat, for a drive that normally takes me about three times that. This only leads to the conclusion that it’s the public and bank oafs that create the traffic, and not the mercantile employees.
