Let us take a journey to this waterside location nicknamed "City of Sails" due to its love affair with the sea and explore what it has to offer.

Sky Tower; Sky Jump
You won’t find a better adrenalin pumping experience than what you will feel when you jump off the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere; a grand fall of 192 meters from the top of the Sky Tower! This is no bungee jumping though, for unlike bungee jumping there is no bouncing around or hanging upside down - just a fall straight to the landing platform!
Sky Tower; Sky Walk
The newest in the adrenaline pumping attractions offered, Sky Walk is where a 1.2 meter wide ledge encircles the widest part of Auckland’s Sky Tower at the height of 192 meters and you get to walk on it!
To add to the excitement, Sky Walkers are attached to the tower by a safety harness and rope with no rails or balcony to hold onto! The feeling of exhilaration is added with the striking view of Auckland city, the islands of the gulf and beyond.

All observation decks offer 360-degree views of Auckland and if you want to, there are glass floor panels which, you can stand on and look down on the street below – Not as scary as the Sky Walk, but still a thriller!
Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World
If you are the brave hearted, this is your chance to swim with Stingrays at the interactive Stingray Bay or even swim with real-life sharks at the shark tank! If this sounds too off the beat for you, there is also a wonderland of snow, ice and amazing underwater sights .
It is open every day from 9am to 6pm - last entry is at 5pm.
AJ Hackett Bungee
‘The’ place to Bungee Jump! You will get to bungee jump off the harbor bridge where jumpers leap over the Waitemata Harbor and enjoy a classic Kiwi experience of bungee jumping! You will be able to choose from a number of bungee options, including the favorite "water touch". It is open seven days a week, and anyone aged above 10 years can do the jump!

Also in here, all obstacles are optional - you choose the level of adventure for yourself, and no experience needed!
Pakiri Beach Horse Rides
Receive well trained horses for superb horse riding on 14 miles of white sand Pacific beach, through native bush and farmland! You can choose from rides that last for 1-2 hours to half and full day, as well as extended 2, 4 and 5 multi day rides; featuring the 7 day Great Northern Coast to Coast ride!

There are daily departures for this safari from the Viaduct Harbor.
Balloon Safaris
If the sun is out, there is no better way to see the stunning views of Auckland with its islands, cities, beaches and ranges than by floating high in a hot air balloon. You can choose from a variety of balloons with the largest being nearly 110 feet tall and carrying up to eight passengers at a time.

Glenbrook Vintage Railway
You can travel back in time and fuel your imagination at the Glenbrook Station as you settle yourself into the wood paneled carriages and travel through the beautiful Franklin countryside.
There are also other activities such as the hand & motorized jigger rides, and the Glenbrook Farm Park where children can have some "hands on" (literally) experience with animals.
Great Barrier Island
For the ultimate holiday escape, Great Barrier Island will offer you the perfect remoteness and rugged beauty. To get here, take a scenic flight or ferry ride and come to the white sand beaches.
Then you can spend your days lazing on beaches, discovering numerous bush walks, and enjoying diving, fishing, surfing, sailing and untouched landscape. There are plenty of accommodation options but remember to book well in advance as accommodation fills up quickly especially during summer.

Food and Wine
Award winning wines, seafood from its abundant harbors, locally grown produce; all come together to create a dining experience unique to Auckland! You can visit the many restaurants that have perfected the art of fusioning Pacific and Asian flavors, or go to the Auckland Fish Market for the best catch of the day.
Do not forget that Auckland is also home to some of the country’s oldest established vineyards and is well known for its Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon wines.
You can visit these vineyards which are clustered in five distinct areas – Waiheke Island, West Auckland, Northwest Auckland, north Auckland (around Matakana) and the Clevedon Valley.

Humming with all the vibrancy and diversity that is Auckland, the market offers some of the best examples of Pacific arts and crafts, traditional Maori carvings and contemporary jewelry as well as funky New Zealand fashion, delicious ethnic cuisine and live entertainment.
The market is open every Friday and Saturday, 10am till 6 pm.
