She’s conquered Tamil cinema, made waves in Bollywood, and is now here in Colombo, determined to win as many hearts as she can to take back home with her!
Say hello to Asin, the Kerala-born actress who’s currently in town to shoot for her new film “Ready” with Salman Khan.
'“I love Sri Lanka,” she exclaims, “It reminds me so much of home. Whenever I land here, I don’t feel like I’ve come to another country. The response, the love and the reception that I’ve gotten here is really heart-touching.”
The movie “Ready” is the third Hindi film for the actress, and was originally scheduled to be shot in parts in Mauritus, Singapore and Mumbai. The decision to shift the shoot to Sri Lanka came in the wake of the successfully concluded IIFA awards held in Colombo last month, when the film’s lead male star - Bollywood icon Salman Khan - proposed to bring the production down to be shot in the country.

Hi Asin,
I didn't know her when i saw one of her film with Amir Khan. Her acting was in very high standard there. I strongly believe that she will join the broken hearts of sinhalese vs Tamil people. She has the enough strength and she will defenetely do it. I wish her a long journey in the Cinema and through our Sri lankan hearts.
