'Chamindi Jayaththri
This project aims to create an overview of many inherent qualities of porcelain, especially its translucency. Translucent porcelain naturally softens and diffuses light, filling interior spaces with a calm, warm ambience unmatched by any other material. Varied thicknesses of clay, glaze and glass allow light to pass through while enhancing the textures on their surfaces. Translucency in nature was the inspiration for my collection “Translucent qualities of porcelain for Light Shades”.
