'The popular icon in the 1950s Audrey Hepburn was known to wear Kitten Heels especially in her movies so that she remained shorter than her lead actors like Humphrey Bogart and consequently made it very popular back in the day. Many teenage girls were encouraged to wear these heels which were then known as “trainer heels” instead of the higher heels in order to avoid being perceived as wearing inappropriate attire.
