Kitten Heels are Mewing Again!!!
2010-07-2910:25
We’ve gone crazy over Jimmy Choo, Charles& Keith, Hush puppies and what not! How about heels?
You may have seen Kitten Heels (commonly called “stiletto heels”) around as they are not something new although the latest trend is. Kitten Heels are short and between 1.5 to 2 inches high with a slight curve, just like the claw of a kitten as it curves inward from the back of the shoe.

'The popular icon in the 1950s Audrey Hepburn was known to wear Kitten Heels especially in her movies so that she remained shorter than her lead actors like Humphrey Bogart and consequently made it very popular back in the day. Many teenage girls were encouraged to wear these heels which were then known as “trainer heels” instead of the higher heels in order to avoid being perceived as wearing inappropriate attire. However adults too gradually began to wear the Kitten heel until the beginning of the 1970s.

Now it’s back in fashion and we see that its Michelle Obama’s favourite choice and more recently Suri Cruise has been spotted wearing them, although you might say she’s a little too young for heels!

The kitten heel is most often used on sandals and pumps and is known to be the ideal dress shoe. Women who are constantly on their feet would embrace these shoes for its comfortable feel and low heel.

More than wearing a flat shoe you will be happy to know that the Kitten heel automatically transforms the legs to look a lot sexier!, as it provides a more feminine look.

If you look around you will find that many of the shoes which women wear are now supported by the kitten heel.

With kitten heel sandals, you can walk for miles, shop for hours, and even take a walk on the beach without a problem and it would also be ideal and more practical if you choose to wear them on your wedding day or any function for that matter!
